Nearly a year old, some disjointed musings...

You know, I wish I had kept a more detailed month-by-month update of Daisy's progress on this blog. I have her Tamariki Ora book to look back on, but they are mostly just notes I've scribbled down, nothing much in detail.

I've been reflecting a lot on Daisy's birth and the first few weeks lately, as we approach her first birthday. I finally feel that I might be able to write her birth story, so will get started on that soon.

Daisy is such a treasure, so many times a day I find myself with a smile on my face thinking how lucky/blessed I am. She is developing a great sense of humour, often giggling to herself, and finding delight in lots of things. She is patient and kind with her friends, doesn't often fight back when she is hit or pulled or grabbed at (gets that from her Dad!).
We are enjoying how responsive she is - joins in songs, books, talks back to us, tries to "help" with whatever activity we're doing.
